Log in to Moodle with the same username and password that you use to log in to a College computer
You may have noticed that there is now an ACCESSIBILITY block on the right side of every Moodle page. This is a new feature designed to help all staff and students to aid access to resources and to support productivity. You now have the facility to change text size and the colour/contrast of the page. Changing the settings may ease eye strain and help your concentration. Settings can be saved and reset back to default. We need to do some more work on the ATbar feature - more information to follow. Please send me any feedback. Malcolm firstname.lastname@example.org
If you require a course for revision or reference purposes first click on the Past tab on your opening Dashboard > Courses Overview page to locate it as it may have been archived. For those students who have changed courses please contact me when you are absolutely sure you no longer require access to any course, including any files submitted, and I will remove it.
This is your Virtual Learning Environment. You can access learning resources and activities uploaded by your teacher. Click on the hamburger icon (Navigation Bar) at the top left of the site when logged in to hide or reveal your Grades and other courses. Use the gear/cog icon (top right) to access Settings.
A Mobile Moodle App is available for Apple, Android and Windows devices. You can use OneDrive, Google Drive and Picasa Web Album/Google Photos to submit assignments and files to Moodle. Point the App to https://moodle.bexhillcollege.ac.uk/
On the Dashboard your Course Overview has two tabs, to display course progress and activity deadlines.
Timeline – this shows assignments, quizzes and tasks that are due.
Courses – this shows your courses. Use the Past tab to locate old courses.
The percentage indicates how much of the required work has been completed. Courses is the default Tab but when returning to the Course Overview your active tab is remembered.
Microsoft Office 365 integration now allows users to upload files to Moodle assignments from their OneDrive via the File Picker. Especially useful to mobile/tablet users.
Please note that passwords for Second Year/Returning students were reset on, Wednesday 5th September, to the same as your username. You will not be able to access Moodle, ClickView Online nor the Student Portal off-site until you have logged in to a College computer. You will be prompted to change this at first logon to something at least 6 characters long. All first year students will need to login in to a College computer to activate your account.
If you have any problems or requests either send me an e-mail using your College account or call into the Library/LRC and ask for me. Thank you.
